Lunch on our own (Friday afternoon)
After we got back to Seoul, we were all starving. Professor Kim said we were on our own. This was the first time for that! 3 of us girls and Professor Anderson decided to stick together. We walked into a pretty random place. None of the workers spoke a bit of English and we know ZERO Korean. We sat on the floor and I ordered all of the meals with out speaking a single word! It worked very well. The side dishes came out first along with a Korean pizza. Their pizza is nothing like ours (at all)... Besides that it is round. It was tasty! I ordered a very traditional dish called Bibimbap. You get a bowl full of eggs, veggies, and meat. Then, you pour a red pepper sauce on it and mix it with rice. Compared to other dishes I have had, it isn't spicy at all. I thought I could handle spicy foods until I got to Korea. Mannnnnn is their food spicy! It doesn't help that they only give you very small servings of water. Their servings of water are literally the size of a little shot glass. I think I filled it up 20 times. Woooohoooo! Eating this meal on our own was a great experience! Professor Kim was very proud of us:)
